About the role:

As Lead HVAC Technical Officer, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition:

• Lead a team of Technical officers, Supervisors ,Technicians and outsourced vendors in the operation and maintenance of the HVAC and Refrigeration infrastructure to achieve system availability and Asset performance in line with stipulated KPI’s, Prepare Scope of works for HVAC and Refrigeration projects, review and provide technical inputs to design and material submittals, perform Asset condition survey and Quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with international standards and best industry practices. Take charge of all improvement and project works related to HVAC and Refrigeration infrastructure to ensure seamless integration to existing network.
• Plan, organize and provide system engineering support and supervision for the operation, maintenance, modification, trouble-shooting and repair of HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
• Manage, monitor and improve FM contractors’ maintenance delivery while ensuring compliance with best industry practices, local and international standards.
• Perform toolbox talks/briefing in order to guide and support staff and contractors in their day-to-day activities in compliance with Airport regulations.
• Perform quality assurance audits for all HVAC and Refrigeration assets, in order to ensure proper maintenance is performed and implement any improvements that might be needed.
• Review and validate the newly developed design and construction documents in order to confirm code compliance and existing infrastructure readiness.
• Support the HVAC Engineer/Facility Manager in the preparation of Budgets, special reports, presentation, approval processes, technical specification, facilities management contract documents, tender documents, operation and maintenance manuals, maintenance SOPs in alignment with Asset Management System.
• Support the HVAC Engineer in Studying and analysing HVAC and Refrigeration assets for implementing control measures and improvement projects that shall lead to the reduction of the asset failure risks, the reduction of the asset life cycle costs while maintaining desired level of services and the proper planning of capital assets replacement.
• Ensure Permit to Work procedures are strictly adhered to by vendors and FM contractor staff.
• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the HVAC Engineer/Facility Manager.

Qualifications

About you:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• 5 years working experience with Low temperature industrial refrigeration application.
• Working experience with brine and chilled water systems.
• Working experience with industrial refrigeration Controls & Automation.
• Hands on working experience in Industrial refrigeration plant rooms.
• Working experience with District Cooling, Freezers and Chillers.
