Roles & Responsibilities

  • Must have more than 10 years experience in electrical maintenance work in the Oil & Gas or
  • Power Generating industry of which at least 3 years must be at Electrical Maintenance Supervisory level.
  • Educational qualifications: OND or standard based qualification (NVQ level 3) or a minimum of
  • 3 year Electrical Engineering Diploma education (DAE, AMIA or equivalent), or equivalent.
  • Nb. May be required to undertake Competency Based test witnessed by the Company Discipline Engineer
  • Must have a fairly good knowledge & understanding of various process
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English to IELTS level 6 Equivalent.
  • Must be capable of executing QA/QC / HSE compliance audits on site, procedures and HSE
  • Must have working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Must have 2 years of experience in Electrical Emergency Response tasks.
  • Must have sound knowledge of (IEC based) Area Classification, Ex standards, and Ex
  • Equipment (CompEx certified).
  • Must be fully aware of cable design, cable materials used and the handling requirements of such
  • goods.
  • Should be able to fully comprehend electrical schematic and single line diagrams.

SECTION IV – SCOPE DESCRIPTION

  • Must be competent to work on both LV and HV systems up to 33 kV.
  • Must understand HV and LV distribution including UPS, VSDS systems.
  • Must be able to trouble shoot, test and propose repair methods without any supervision.
  • Must have 4 years experience in performing Duty shifts in Electrical discipline team.
  • Must fill all requirements for Senior Electrical Technician.
  • Must be conversant with and be experienced in maintenance and inspection of hazardous area electrical equipment.
  • Must be experienced in and able to gland and splice cables.
  • Should possess an outline understanding of electric motor construction, and fault finding.
  • Should demonstrate an understanding of HSSE issues
  • Responsible for delivery of tool box talks to the technicians.
  • Competent to use cable location detection equipment.
  • Must be capable to become CEP within 3 months and AEP within 6 months.

Job Description

  • Must have at least 10 years experience in engineering/planning background work in the Petrochemical or Power Generation industry, of which at least 5 years have been performed as Planner / Scheduler
  • Educational qualifications: Minimum HND or equivalent in relevant discipline or standard based qualification
  • Must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English (IELTS 8 Equivalent).
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills and work ethic in a dynamic environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of practical work execution methodology’s, and ability to apply knowledge to data analysis
  • Excellent Computer skills (Word, Excel, Access, Data Querying, Sharepoint, PowerBI, Primavera P6) required, MS Office package and SAP (CMMS)
  • Function as technical expert by creating automated, dynamic database driven reporting tools and user applications.
  • Build, report and analysis of multidicipline Maintenance Execution & Integrated Activity Plans (IAP) KPIs.
  • Roll-out of IAPs at site (creation of standards, structure and manuals) and manage IAPs projects
  • Proven experience in compiling data for presentation to leadership to identify potential and/or ongoing issues regarding work processes relating to maintenance execution
  • Facilitating process workflow modelling on process improvements and automation possibilities
  • Must have awareness of maintenance cost and the impact that process improvements can have with respect to cash savings
  • Experience with gathering, cleansing, compiling and analysing data into useable trends, leading indicators and lagging indicators in KPI, to enable strategic decision making and provide data in-sights/analysis as requested
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement (LEAN) as a means for real business delivery
  • Prepare and manage planning and budgeting exhibits which detail the man day cost of requirements being programmed for execution
