About the role

We are pleased to announce an incredibly exciting opportunity to join our Technical – Centralised Planning team in Doha as Senior Manager People Safety and Health.

This role is based in Doha and will be responsible for ensuring the development of strategic plans to meet the technical and corresponding maintenance growth requirements for executive decision making. In addition, the Senior Manager is responsible for collection, compilation and analysis of operational data for guidance and monitoring of associated resources like manpower, facilities, training and material.

Key accountabilities:

• Develop long and medium-term strategic maintenance plans, identifying specific resource, capability, a skill system and facility requirements.
• Develop business cases and recommend outsources vs in-house maintenance based upon the capacity and capability requirements.
• Review staff productivity data across Technical and recommend proposals for improvement to the executive leadership team and align with long term business objectives.
• Analyse fleet maintenance costing data and recommend strategies to mitigate these costs to executive management.
• Develop technical training needs for the Technical Division based on long term requirements and fleet growth.
• Manage the maintenance requirements by analyzing and presenting data periodically with planned actions.
• Manage KPI reporting system for Centralised Planning Department.
• Review processes of Centralised Planning and recommend enhancements.
• Ensuring that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations.
• Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security and environmental policies and procedures across the operation.
• Establish and regularly evaluate the department or team objectives and priorities to align with and support wider business objectives.
• Oversee and supervise employees, direct daily activities and implement training or recruitment activities when required.

Qualifications

About you

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Minimum of 10 years relevant experience, out of which 5 years in a managerial position.
• Expert knowledge of Maintenance demand forecasting, manpower planning and strategy development.
• Strong knowledge of Aircraft Regulations (Part M, Part 145).
• Must possess a strong, decisive and collaborative leadership style.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Change management experience is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to analyse data.
• You will be a confident and energetic communicator with strong Leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a highly demanding, agile and multicultural environment.
• Hands on mentality with an ability to delegate work as well as foster teamwork.
