Job Description
Dietsmann is the leading independent Operation & Maintenance and Maintenance Engineering & Inspection specialist for continuous-production plant in the oil & gas, conventional and nuclear power generation and mining industries.

We are looking for a Plant Technician with basic electrical knowledge for Al-Khalij project based in Qatar.
You will be in charge of operating manual and remote valves and lead basic electrical interventions on an offshore site.
REQUESTED PROFILE
- Experience in Oil & Gas Maintenance.
- Have a basic understanding of a Power Distribution to Power generation.
- Must be able to read understand a PID “Process instrument diagram”.
- Perform electrical isolation and process isolation LOTO.
- Have a basic understanding of Oil and Gas facilities / processes (from well to export).
- Be knowledgeable of hydrocarbons behavior and associated risks (explosion, asphyxia…).
- Be able to read and use drawings (Electrical single line and schematic diagrams), vendor documents, name plate. Be knowledgeable of electrical symbols.
EXPERIENCE ON THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT
- Understand working principle of main electrical equipment: generators, voltage & current transformers, electrical motor, alternator, feeder, UPS, battery, speed variator soft starter and graduator, HV/LV switchboard, lighting and heat tracing panel.
- Be knowledgeable on explosion proof materiel and associated requirements.
- Understand preventive, corrective, predictive maintenance and maintenance plan concepts.
- Have a basic knowledge of the CMMS (be able to issue a notification, read, interpret and complete work orders).
- Be able on a given and simple preventive work order to prepare tools, identify spare parts and adapted procedure or work instruction.

Job Description
KEY MISSIONS
- Prepare maintenance intervention and all curative work supervision;
- Participate in preventive interventions if necessary;
- Provide training and ensure skillful competency of the team;
- Manage material needs for curative job;
- Ensure that the work is done in safe condition;
- Participate and modify, if necessary, preventive maintenance procedure;
- Proceed to the investigation in case of equipment failure;
- Study and recommend any modification, addition or removal enabling better functioning of the facilities or an improved equipment reliability;
- Ensure efficiency of the Electrical team.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
You have at least 10 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry and a minimum of 2 years on a similar position in the field of electrical maintenance. You have already managed a team and are comfortable in providing support and training when needed.
You are fluent in English and have good communication skills.
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Lotus, SAP;
- Required certificates: Electrical: H1, L2V-BR, HC, LC domain, LV, HV, International HSE rules;
- Electrical HV, LV, component safe, hazardous area and generator.
