Recruitment Specialist
About the role:
As a Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition:
- You will provide recruiting services in assigned areas of the business and to deliver high quality talent in a timely manner by implementing effective search and selection techniques.
- You will participate in the recruitment process for all assigned areas within HIA by providing recruitment solutions and professional guidance to managers ensuring regular feedback and professional service at the best cost.
- You will implement plans effectively while responding to unbudgeted increases within HIA. Manage third party agency agreements and processes when appropriate for recruitment assistance.
- Utilize available databases to identify potential candidates, and when necessary write quality print and web based advertisements to attract candidates across global markets. Utilize technology and experience to shortlist candidates to provide Line Managers with candidates that are a good match for job requirements of HIA.
- Use appropriate methodologies and ensure effective benchmarking of candidates predominantly up to and including management grade, and further sourcing of candidates above management grade up to senior management grade as required.
- Perform reference checks where required and effectively negotiate offer contracts with preferred candidates.
Qualifications
About You:
- Without a Degree: High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent with minimum 5 years of job-related experience.
- With a Degree: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience
- Attention to detail and negotiation skills.
- Headhunting and Interviewing Skills
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Experience of demonstrating accountability in managing effective working relationships.

Job Description

Provide leadership team with the identification and development of strategic plans to improve daily operational performance and position QAS Cargo as an innovative, best practice ground handling organization.

Plan and adapt the operational implementation based on in-depth analysis and real-time environment.

Develop QAS Cargo’s hub operational control department to effectively forecast and plan, with the ability to identify risks, opportunities and solutions to align and support business objectives.

Analyse and understand resource management strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to utilize equipment and manpower effectively to support daily volume fluctuations.

Ensuring QAS Cargo hub operation control activities uphold a professional, safe and satisfactory service for QR and all other airlines.

Implement best practice daily resource management through accurate and detailed planning to deliver operational excellence.

Liaise and collaborate with Integrated Operations Control, QAS Operations Control and HIA Operation Control to make decisions based on facts and analysis for contingency and coordinate recovery plans for disruptions.

Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, security, quality and environmental management policies and procedures.

Conduct and lead the daily operational briefing to QAS Cargo Leadership team to provide updates on operational activities and forecast short-term trends.

Define and establish objectives, competencies and training requirements to ensure a motivated team with high standards in professionalism to support business objectives.

Train and develop other employees to ensure succession planning is in place.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.

Experience managing a large operational team.

Strong knowledge of Airline Ground Handling and Freighter Operations.

Expertise in IATA cargo handling procedures and regulations.
-
Customer service orientation with a cost conscious culture.

Experience in deploying continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean and Six Sigma)

Experience in managing a large multi-diverse team.

Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to analyse data.

You will be a confident and energetic communicator with strong Leadership skills.

Ability to work in a highly demanding, agile and multicultural environment.

Hands on mentality with an ability to delegate work as well as foster teamwork.
