Cargo Dangerous Goods Agent

About thr role:

As a Cargo Dangerous Goods Agent, you are responsible to Responsible for the safe handling of Dangerous Goods on all airlines operating to/from Doha with adherence to Standard Operating Procedures

Responsible for loading Dangerous Goods as per the IATA segregation and correct completion of ULD tags.
Retrieving all class 1 Explosives and fire arms/weapons from the storage and monitor loading into ULD’s and forward pre-alerts as per the State requirements of the destinations to avoid heavy penalties.
Measuring of radiation levels for all radioactive material shipments and inform the supervisors if any deviation of radiation levels are detected.
Ensure all DG packages are free from damage/spillage/leakages before forwarding on aircraft.
Monitor and ensure DG shipments are kept in the relevant storage areas to avoid chemical exposure to staff and severe environment condition.
Responsible for relocating the offloaded shipments and follow the procedures of the airlines to ensure and make arrangements to forward as per the airline regulations.
Accountable for the compiling of data to be provided to the QCAA on monthly basis.
Inspection of all through units via Doha to ensure they are safe for air transport.
Responsible for the record keeping of all DG documents to adhere to IOSA/IOSAGO and QCAA audit requirements.
Ensure DG storage locations are maintained as per the ICAO/IATA regulatory requirement in order to maintain necessary safety standards.

Qualifications

About you:

An Idea Candidate will have:

Essential

High School Qualification (e.g. O level, Year 10, min compulsory education)
Dangerous Goods Regulations- Category 8
Educational background in Chemistry/Physics preferred
Computer and systems literate with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred

Fire training
Experienced – minimum 2 years of job-related experience required.
Dangerous Goods Cargo handling experience.
Extremely good knowledge in English written/reading
