Job Description
Your new role, what’s involved?
- Responsible for executing CAD design tasks as directed by the Engineer
- Coordinate with the CAD supervisor and other CAD Technicians with respect to workload, good detailing practice and work procedures
- Produce drawings to maintain quality and accuracy
- Bring relevant and varied experience to the position.
- Creation and editing of drawings & sketches in compliance with WSP ME CAD Standards, detailing practices and agreed timescales
- Creation of 3D models to support the development of the design
- Completion of CAD tasks received from Engineers and CAD Coordinator
- Generate sections and details from general arrangement drawings
- Ensure drawings are issued, and filed in an appropriate manner
- Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to line manager
- Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
- Contribute to technical capabilities of the CAD team as a whole
- Review the work of colleagues and peers for Quality Control and provide constructive feedback
- Attend team and project meetings as required
- Contribute to the delivery of the business unit strategy
- Support the companies approach to sustainability
- Lead by example and ensure QMS compliance
- Complete accurate timesheets by set deadline
- Feedback on all business development opportunities

Job Description
- To arrange, chair and record meetings, commencing with the kick-off meeting and thereafter progress and management meetings that are deemed necessary
- to establish procedures for inspection approvals, testing, commissioning in accordance with the requirements of the contract
- Inspect the site construction work and provide non conformity reports to highlight the deviations with respect to contractual requirements.
- Certifies the works performed by EPC contractor on behalf of client and jointly signs the MCCs, CCCs etc.
- Review the contractor’s HSE plan and ensures that the safety procedures are followed at site
- Review and comment on the contractor’s programs ensuring that they are sufficiently detailed to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the contract, allocated resources and cash flow
- Review the contractor’s construction related ITPs, method statements and material submittals in accordance with requirements of contract.
- Monitor the Contractors progress during construction and regularly assesses output
- Implement QMS requirements and conduct regular Audits
- Ensure the contractor liaisons with service and other authorities in a timely manner so as not to affect the progress of the works by attending meetings, monitoring agreed programmes and regular follow-up
- Assist site manager in day to activities including planning, monitoring and supervision activities as detailed by him time to time.
- Work closely with back office team to highlight deviations/issues on priority and provide quick resolution to client.
- to prepare substantial completion reports including any outstanding requirements
- Adhere to WSP way of working to foster a culture for safe and vibrant work culture while simultaneously complying with WSP’s ethics, code of conduct policies.

- Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of working experience with similar capacity.
- Must have experience in inspection and supervision activities on mixed-used development projects
- Essentially having detailed knowledge of inspections and post contract supervision role and responsibilities related to review of contractor’s shop drawings, submittals and site inspection procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills with effective written and verbal skills. Able to build excellent client relations through communication and multidisciplinary coordination skills

Job Description
WSP Middle East are currently looking for a Senior Traffic Engineer to be responsible for managing engineering activities for the Delivery Areas to ensure targets are being met and progress is delivered for Ashghal managed Projects.
Your new role, what’s involved?
- Follow up the compliance of the implementation of traffic diversion works with the approved standards
- Review Traffic Diversion Plans (TDPs) and their interfaces with various projects.
- Ensure proper implementation of TDPs and handling any arising stakeholder complaints
- Direct and coordinate between the traffic engineers in the project supervision team
- Raise periodic reports to the department manager and relevant traffic diversion committees.
- Provide support to the Area Delivery Managers where required
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- BSc Degree in Civil Engineering
- 15 years post graduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes; preference will be given to drainage related experience
- Experience in working with and within government agencies or client’s side generally at a senior level
- Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects
- In-depth knowledge of engineering procedures
- Strong experience in designing storm water drainage networks, and flood protection measures
- Experience in construction and project management of drainage projects involving Wastewater and/or Groundwater Drainage Networks, Sewerage Pumping Stations & Rising Mains
- Demonstrable experience dealing with third party issues, the Authority’s customers, statutory undertakers, and other impacted stakeholders, in compliance with requirements
- Experience in managing all aspects of design & build contracts
