Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities:

  • Project reporting: Compiling the terminal NPRP reports for the project. This will require the assimilation of data and individual reports from all partners (CEREGE, UoM, TAMU CS, Total E&P) .
  • Petrophysics / X-ray work: The core research task for the candidate is to undertake coupled centrifuge capillary pressure / Amott WI / tests and x-ray micro CT analysis of core plugs (outcrop and subsurface). Initial work will focus on recommissioning the TAMUQ Core Labs centrifuge which has remained unused throughout the pandemic .
  • Other research: The candidate will assist in AI based petrographic analysis workflows developed by current TAMUQ SEED Grant funded graduate student – Issac John .
  • Other duties Reporting to stakeholders / conference and paper preparation etc.

  • Advanced experience in course scheduling, enrollment management, and enrollment analytics. Some supervisory experience
  • Significant experience managing complex projects with aggressive deadlines

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of InfoSilem, TAMUQ’s course scheduling software
  • Advanced knowledge of Banner, TAMU’s student data management system

Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling/Course Management – Oversees and manages the course inventory, room assignments, registration, semester setup processes and grade processing in the student information management system (Compass). Plans and coordinates production of the class schedule and catalog, including creating timelines for data entry and tasks, and establishing work procedures. Edits materials and writes original copy as needed. Consults and coordinates with deans, department/division chairs, and division office managers on matters related to preparation of the class schedule, catalog, and grading; maintains supporting documents and authorizations. Investigates complaints and resolves problems. Assists in the preparation of reports for administration. Monitors adherence to timelines for course development and modification. Prepares written communication to faculty to advise them of established curriculum processes and submittal deadlines for inclusion of courses in schedules and catalog. Enters new and modified course information in the curriculum maintenance database to assure timely and accurate information is available for schedule/catalog production and faculty/staff reference. Advises faculty and staff with regard to essential elements such as proper numbering of courses, contact hours and units, as new and modified curriculum is being prepared. Supports the Curriculum Advisory Committee. Collaborates with individuals on the main campus regarding recruitment, processing, records, and computer applications. Is responsible for cross-training staff in scheduling policies and procedures.
  • Departmental Management – Serves on management team with Director. Represents the department, division, or University on various committees. Participates in developing departmental strategic plans based on department goals. Provides leadership for department along with and in absence of the Director. Handles special projects as assigned by the Director. Provides input for annual budgets. Provides indirect supervision and guidance to a team or departmental sub-unit(s).
  • Compliance – Monitors compliance with all unit, department, University, and government standards, policies, and procedures. Oversees areas related to records management for adherence to deadlines, procedures, accuracy, and consistency in data entry. Is responsible for scheduling/course maintenance policies and processes. Makes recommendation for efficiency and effectiveness and initiates the change process, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned.
