Job Description

Job Objective: To oversee the overall operations and performance of the store including sales, merchandising, sales operations, staff supervision, marketing plans, training and development, loss prevention and expense control.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accept full accountability for driving sales and profitability of the store and directing its operations,
  • Plan manpower requirements to ensure that there are adequate resources to fulfil the sectional objectives for the year,
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals of the sales team and ensure customer service standards are met including placing orders and delivery tracking,
  • Develop, foster, and maintain a store culture focused on the customer experience and build relationships that lead to long term,
  • Plan, forecast and report on sales, costs and business performance according to company requirements,
  • Monitor customer service, sales, instore events, inventory/expense control and risk management.
  • Manage costs and overheads and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the store,
  • Lead the effective implementation of all visual merchandising standards and operational policies and procedures.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Sales compared to budget / target,
  • % increase in sales over last year,
  • % reduction in wage cost.

Academic Qualifications and years of Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management and/or Interior Design,
  • 5 years in same position.

Communication and work relationship:

  • Sales Representatives and clients,
  • Supplier,
  • Other departments as needed.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Problem solving skills,
  • Strong leadership skills,
  • Being proactive and creative,
  • Accuracy and attention to detail,
  • Ability to work within strict time frames and deadlines,
  • Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks / projects.

The ideal candidate should have an excellent English communication skill – Speaking Arabic is a big advantage.
