Department Description

Brief Description

To perform Employee Relations (ER) operations and work with ER management in performingduties and responsibilities in all related areas.

Detailed Description

  • Handle investigations, employee complaints, grievances, and appeals in conjunction with ER management and other stakeholders to ensure all employee issues are resolved in a fair and timely manner; Review, draft, edit, and generate detailed business cases and investigation reports as needed
  • Track business cases, investigations, grievances, and other related cases and ensure documentations are marinated, signed, and dated following related policies
  • Serve in ad-hoc or structured investigations and review committees on behalf of ER team as required
  • Work with QF Legal and QF Policy, and Compensation and Benefits team to ensure compliance with the QF employment contracts, Qatar Labour Law, and QF policies and procedures
  • Liaise with Department/Center’s Focal Points on matters related to documenting corrective actions
  • Read, understand, and implement QF policies, procedures, and processes outlined in the HC Policy Manual;
  • Communicate policies and procedures about Human Capital to end users upon request
  • Partner with both HC Focal Points and HC teams to develop and implement Employee Relations best practices and programs
  • Advise and assist in developing and implementing procedures to produce effective and efficient management of the employee relations function; draft ER procedures as needed
  • Coordinate with Compensation and Benefits Team in implementing salary, title, grade, or any other changes related to employment particulars. Ensure that correct procedures are followed, that salary change letters are correctly prepared and issued, that payroll is informed promptly, and that the necessary records are updated
  • Generate monthly reports and other required reports using HC systems
  • Collect and analyse employee data, organize and update employee records, and oversee employee orientation and exit processing
  • Review and process entries in the HC systems. Analyse and resolve problems, and participate in system improvements and the development/update of personnel records procedures
  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, law, or a relevant field.
  • 6-8 years of relevant full-time work experience in a large corporation or similar setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Qatar Labour Law
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and Oracle HR Systems
