Job Description

Manager Digital  & Marketing – Australasia & Northasia

Australia – AU Location Melbourne – MEL, Australia – AU Category Corporate & Commercial Job Id 154615

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Commercial Team as Manager Digital & Marketing – Australasia & North Asia Region, based in our Melbourne Regional Office.

It involves a leading role in the assigned Region to cascade all Digital and Marketing plans including budgeting, to support meeting the key KPIs of Revenue, Brand awareness, Corporate penetration, Digital Direct and Loyalty. Manages the Regional team responsible for all activities related to Digital Direct, Loyalty and Marketing Operations, and ensuring adherence to the optimized omnichannel approach established by the Digital leadership.
Monitors closely the day to day operations of the team, ensuring that the team is aligned with the established processes, and provides regular tracking and reports to the leadership teams in the Regions and Head Office.

Supports the Head of Digital & Marketing in managing the planning and execution of Digital and Marketing activities within the assigned Region.

Accountabilities

  • Act as the subject matter expert on digital direct for the assigned region, including activities aimed at driving brand awareness, corporate & leisure revenues as well sales via QR.com and all related platforms.
  • Own the responsibility to enable the assigned region to achieve the set targets and objectives for digital and Marketing within the agreed cost of sale.
  • Achieve all necessary KPIs for each digital channel and sub-channel for the markets within the assigned region.
  • Monitor and manage the usage of the assigned marketing budget for the assigned region in the most cost efficient way to achieve agreed KPIs.
  • Develop jointly with the Head of Digital and Marketing action plans that will grow QR’s share of Loyal consumers through marketing campaigns, tools and technologies.
  • Asisist in Developping plans geared towards increasing sales share from Loyal members.
  • Establish a regional execution strategy to reach the assigned ancillary targets (revenues and attach rates).
  • Seek out regional partnerships geared towards reinforcing Qatar Airways position in the assigned region.
  • Maintain strong awareness of new and emerging digital payments modes within the assigned region and propose where appropriate additions to the existing suite of payment options to improve digital direct penetration.
  • Initiate regional strategy proposals aimed at growing Direct traffic and owned media share in the e-marketing portofolio and subsequently decrease depency on paid advertisement.
  • Support the Head of Digital and Marketing to develop the regional strategy, and provide regionalised inputs to ensure relevance to the market context.
  • Maintain for the assigned region a calendar of marketing activities with the objective of reaching all pre set KPIs of the region
  • Act the the primary owner of key KPIs for the assigned region, and monitor daily the performance of all channels including offline marketing channels and digital paid,owned and earned for all regionas and markets.
  • Track closely the performance trends of each channel with the help of comprehensive dashboards and performance tracking tools, and take relevant actions to ensure the assigned region will achieve the objectives, KPIs.
  • Manage all activities related to budgeting, workflows and processes for the assigned region.
  • Maintain daily interactions with Head Office stakeholders in Pricing, Loyalty, CRM, Marketing, Digital and all other relevant departments.
  • Propose efficient media buys for the region and working with the operations HUB to achieve the needed efficiencies for the whole region
  • Continuous monitoring of competition and pitching of ideas to stay ahead of the curve.
  • Continuous Development/Review of Regional Media Plans to cater to assigned KPIs
  • Ensure full understanding of online attribution modelling and usage of digital tech stack.
  • Make best use of the central Martech capabilities for audience segmentation.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent ideally within Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of job-related experience with strong experience in Digital Marketing ideally within Aviation.
  • Experience in Digital and Marketing positions at a managerial level – ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Solid experience in corporate business acquisition, partnerships and Loyalty marketing.

Fluency in English is (written and spoken) is essential for this role.  You must also have the current legal right to live and work in Australia to be considered for this role.
