Opening mid 2022, Rixos Doha Qetaifan will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sq m of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Slated to make its debut right before the World Cup, Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s waterpark attraction The Icon Tower, the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres in height.

Marketing Manager

This position is concerned with all support required for Marketing Director in directing, controlling, coordinating and participating in all communication activities with an emphasis on digital marketing to promote good quality and positive communications in order to promote and enhance the digital performance, image and general marketing of the hotel.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide support and assistance in creating digital plan for the hotelsin alignment with marketing and communications efforts.
  • Successfully plan, implement and lead long-term revenue driving digital strategies across a range of segments that impacts consumer engagement, brand awareness and sales by proactively escalating revenue and driving business forward.
  • Overseeing design and production of marketing collaterals and promotional materials.

  • Ensuring corporate branding standards and legal compliances are met as per Dubai Regional Office.
  • Work closely with F&B and Sales department to map out promotional activities for the year.

  • Support photography for digital and advertising purposes

  • Develop social media strategies and messages for the year.

Your experience and skills include:

  • At least 4 years of hotel resort experience.
  •  Experience in handling a Complex or Cluster role is an added advantage.
  • Diploma/Degree in Marketing is preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Social Media publishing tools and reporting systems.
  • Experience in developing and executing creative promotional programs.
  • Strong team player with excellent leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to create partnerships within the industry and community.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to make decisions while handling numerous projects at one time

 What you will be doing:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of security officers, and processes providing security, and a safe environment while ensuring protection of guests, team members and Pullman Doha West Bay’s assets in the absence of the Director of Security/Security Manager with all related duties and task.

  • To manage in the absence of the Director of Security/Security Manager, the department according to the established concept statement providing a safe, secured, courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Hotel Standards of Performance.
  • Supervise all aspects of key distribution and control according to policies and procedures of the hotel, and to report any discrepancy immediately to the Director of Security/Security Manager.
  • Review scheduled functions, group, or VIP arrivals and special events and to organize resources / needs accordingly.
  • To be flexible with work hours, regardless of time, during day, or night, in order to personally facilitate security arrangements of cases that require special treatment and handling.
  • To project at all times a positive and motivated attitude and exercise self-control.
  • Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by the Director of Security/Security Manager.
  • Be in the look out to identify activities that may affect the operation of the hotel such as seasonal events, current community crime trends, political activism and other, and to share any such concerns with superiors.
  • To provide access, when required, to high-risk areas, exercising vigilance for the protection of assets and to secure the area when access is no longer required.
  • Handle all tasks with diplomacy, tact, appropriate discretion and efficiency.
  • To control access to crime/natural disaster scenes in order to preserve evidence while awaiting the arrival of authorities.
  • Assist in preparing reports and making follow-ups on all reported guest disturbances, or alleged theft incidents ensuring that the established policies and procedures are adhered. To assist in special investigation on high profile security matters and to prepare reports for managements review.
  • To supervise the maintenance of the security log entries and to track all security officer patrol reports and subsequent security activities.
  • To oversee the intervention of all guest room safes and to maintain a logbook where all occurrences are recorded.
  • To comply with Qatar legislation, be conversant, and act in accordance with any such matters relating to your department.
  • To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, brand or hotel.
  • To be flexible and to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs.
  • To attend trainings and meetings as and when required.
  • To report for duty punctually and wearing the correct uniform and nametag.

        What you will be doing:

  • Maintain the gymnasium equipment to the highest standard.
  • Maintain, repair, and attend to routine and planned maintenance, maintenance requests.

  • Public Areas-plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing, electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, cosmetic items, replacing electrical switches and outlets and programming TV’s
  • To strive to become an independent mechanic, able to analyze problems and to formulate plans to get work done quickly a high degree of quality.
  • Tools – to clean, lubricate, protect and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel. To see that all tools used are returned to the shop and secured in proper storage area. To protect and otherwise maintain your assigned tool pouch and its tools at the discretion of the Engineering Management.
  • Records – to read, log, track and interpret readings from meters, gauges and other measuring units. To maintain a thorough log of each day’s activities and problems that occur and to ensure this information properly handed over to other shifts.
  • Departmental Duties – to share clean all engineering areas as directed by Engineering Management. To work in a neat and efficient manner, keeping work areas clean and well organized. To serve as otherwise directed or needed to help maintain the effective and efficient operation of the hotel. This assignment shall be at the discretion of Engineering Management or the hotel General Manager.
  • General – Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional

What you will be doing?

The Assistant Sales Manager will implement the hotel sales objectives, strategies and activities to secure new accounts and develop these accounts into profitable business for the hotel, thereby achieving and exceeding forecasted revenue figures in rooms and events.

• Working to achieve both personal revenue goals and the budgeted goals of the property.
• Proactively manage all the accounts from a define segment to ensure maximum yield in line with budgetary objectives      • Proactively prospecting new accounts for the hotel and ACCOR Hotels properties worldwide and following the sales process – which includes telephone solicitation, outside sales calls, sales trip, Tradeshow, site inspections and written communication though to convert and generate additional revenue from existing accounts and new accounts.

• Maintain valid call objectives and relevant actions plans for each key accounts and key prospects or existing accounts and ensure all follow up is executed following brand standard.

• Take personal responsibility to ensure standards are maintained following all SOPs of the department.
• Take personal responsibility that the system is utilized to its full capacity and updated constantly.
• Utilize the define system to track, solicit and follow up account and to prepare the contracts.
• Put sales activity in the define system, meet weekly goals in agreed sales calls and telemarketing.
• Respond promptly to all enquiries following our standards and max 24h time frame from customers, prospects and lead referrals with a maximum of details on dates, rates and F&B offering. Assist the customers with their budget and help them seeking the best solution.

• To properly maintain files and accounts. To follow-up with proposals sent and check with customers if proposals sent by the hotel are clear.
• To take personal responsibility for understanding the required budgetary guidelines of the hotels, to enable empowered decisions in all rate negotiations.
• To ensure accurate hand over and follow up with the events team.
• Work with other departments within the hotel to provide quality services to customers.
• To initiate and conduct site inspections.
• To entertain customers during site visits lunches dinners with clients.
• To actively support the Sales trainee to assist them to carry out their roles effectively
• Participate to all appropriate internal meetings as well as training delivered by the Hotel.
• Initiate and complete any other task assigned by the Director of Sales or Director of Sales & Marketing.

• Sales calls and telemarketing activities to be updated in the system on a weekly basis.

• Develop and adjust the action plan on monthly basis with assigned portfolio of accounts and comments on past actions and future actions.

• To be knowledgeable of local and national competitors, marketing strategies and prices.

• Provide statistics, trends, opportunity, and competition intelligence on your market and/or segments on a monthly basis.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
• To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
