OVERVIEW:

Business analyst is responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to stakeholders. Functioning in a liaison capacity, incumbents combine business-planning expertise in Applications Domain to analyses and translate departments’ business requirements into system deployments and/or business process changes. Incumbents act as a change agent to help facilitate effective deployments/modifications to current business process at client.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with the business to gather, analyses, document the business requirements to determine AS-IS and TO-B to address the potential solution designs, and anticipated issues.

• Creating a detailed and comprehensive Business Requirements Document (BRD)

• Work with the IT team to ensure business requirements align with the proposed architecture framework, models, platforms, designs, strategy, technology selection.

• Support the creation of SOWs, solution designs and validate any projects requirements

• Analyze solution requirements to design and specify the functional and technical design of a solution.

• Identify the possible technologies that are feasible for given solution requirements.

• Understand technical knowledge of a specific application and usage of an application. • Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality. • Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching professional and technical staff.

• Develops a training curriculum and conducts formal training sessions covering assigned systems module. • Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users.

• Tracks and fully documents change for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements

• Maintain a high level of professionalism in communication, coordination, providing work leadership, training, and other high-level interactions

• Demonstrated ability to handle the most complex situations

• Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship building skills & communication skills

• Ability to think ahead and beyond technology for the product/system roadmap • Ability to communicate technical and business problems in a non-technical manner

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic and high-pressure environment

• Proven ability to deliver tasks on- time and adherence to deadlines

• Proficiency with Diagrams (Class diagram, Sequence Diagram, Activity Diagram, Data Flow Diagram, ER Diagram … etc.), Mock-ups, Use Cases.

• Proficiency with MS Office applications and data analysis.

• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present to senior managers

• Proven ability to apply clear critical thinking in complex, stressful situations

Desired Candidate Profile

EXPERIENCE:

• 8+ years of experience working on large scale/application projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business

• Strong Experience and Research industry domains will be plus

• Experience with UML. Knowledge of design patterns will be Plus

EDUCATION:

• Graduate degree in information systems or related disciplines.

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Certifications and Accreditations that support the area of expertise • Software development life cycle (SDLC) and frameworks certificates such as CBAP, PMP, Scrum, COBIT, TOGAF.
