LEAD, PALM PM (JOB ID: 3800)

ACCOUNTABILITIES

To Control, monitor and update configuration, content and usage of Company Computerized Maintenance and Inspection Management system to ensure that Maintenance activities are performed with the necessary information on job to be done (where and how), spare to be used and who are the specialized services mobilized.

Provide support of CMIMS for all offshore User (more than 400 users)

ACTIVITIES

• Drive an Incident Free environment / mindset within the Department and with all stakeholders

• Administrate PALM PM user rights

• Ensure PALM PM master data is updated according to offshore or TADM or external maintenance engineering request/feedback

• Analyze Maintenance & Inspection KPI and issue solutions to reduce it

• Monitor and Control proper daily usage of Company Computerized Maintenance and Inspection Management System (PALM SAP PM module)

• Coach end user (onshore and offshore) on PALM correct usage, organize PALM PM training plan, presentation and guideline on PALM PM usage

• Issue KPI dashboard from PALM PM module

• Develop automatic report on PALM PM for end user or to be publish on NOC intranet

• Develop and implement Safety and Environmental Critical Element solution in PALM

• Promote accurate reporting in PALM, including Safety and Environmental Critical Element performance

• Develop scope of requirement for modification on the Company ERP (SAP) to improve its usage

• Perform User Acceptance Test on all changes made to PALM PM module

• Raise defects on PALM PM module and follow its resolution

• Accountable for the proper Preventive Maintenance work order generation as per plant and preparation time

• Accountable for the issuance of PALM PM monthly reports and dashboard on time

• Support planning team in the proper scheduling of maintenance & Inspection work

• Persuade all users (onshore and offshore) on the proper usage of PALM PM

• Define training plan and appraise engineers performance under his/her management

• Could be the Acting Business Process Owner for Palm PM

• Coach engineer in the team on their tasks

• Promote cost awareness and innovation within his/her team

• All staff must be willing to participate in Crisis Response Training and to assist during Emergency Response Situations if required.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

Position is in a OPCO (JV) operating oil & gas facility with offshore/onshore (non-producing) sites, based in Doha, Qatar.

The position is part of the permanent team and is on resident basis (5d a week).

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• BSc degree in science or technical field

• Minimum 10 years’ experience as a SAP certified consultant on PM module

• Excellent communication and negotiation-skills

• Experience and Proven Supervisory/management and Leadership skills

• Demonstrable experience of ERP configuration, testing, implementation and change management

• Significant knowledge of offshore plant and equipment and maintenance systems

JOB DIMENSIONS:

  • Within E&C Department, be part of the Engineering & Commissioning entity and support the project portfolio (100+/y)

  • Ensure the implementation of applicable laws, codes and standards, in particular the Company’s technical reference system in the design of installations on top of which safety engineering
  • Implement the Company HSE risks management process in Brownfield activities: Identify Hazards, perform adequate risk assessment studies and subsequently define adequate conceptual barriers (as per Company reference system prescriptions and/or as per detailed risk studies outcomes where required
  • Lead/participate or supervise safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, analysis and consequence modeling HAZAN, Dropped Object studies, Fire and Explosion studies, SIL assessment, adapted to E&C activities
  • Be responsible for the development of required deliverables of the facilities’ safety dossier (Safety Concept, ESD and Fire and Gas detection, Active and Passive Fire Fighting, Fire and Gas detection, Evacuation and Escape Route, Hazardous area classification, Safety Critical Elements and performance standards of safety systems)
  • Ensure the appropriate support and follow-up of all E&C activities, and approve of safety engineering design studies
  • Participate to Project Reviews as per NOC project management system for his field of expertise
  • Participate to safety audits and contribute to near miss investigations by providing the technical expertise in Safety Engineering. Propose design corrective measures as learned from incident and operation feed backs, propose innovative design solutions and improvements of Company processes
  • Report to Safety Engineering Lead regularly on the business activities.

Job Description

SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER (JOB ID: 3695)

This position reports directly to the:

N+2 position: DW/ENG – Head of Drilling & Wells Engineering

N+1 position: DW/ENG – Lead Drilling Engineering New Wells

Accountabilities:

This position is primarily accountable for engineering activity covering the planning, program preparation and execution of drilling and workover operations within DW team. As part of the drilling engineering team, you will deliver engineering design, program preparation and operational support on new and existing wells. Working with multi-disciplinary teams, you will ensure drilling programs, program amendments and derogation to NOC referential are prepared on schedule and are adequately risk assessed. Commitment to HSE, Golden Rules and Incident Free – act as leading example and contribute.

Activities:

1.Health Safety Environment

− Identify all drilling risks and ensure accompanying risk register for every well operation is included in drilling program
− Ensure all other HSE requirements and lifting colour codes are highlighted in drilling and workover programmes.
− Prepare exemption dossier when required and ensure risk analysis is performed for all non-routine operations.
− Ensure that company safety standard is maintained in all worksites.

2.Drilling Operation preparation and monitoring

− Well preparation in close corporation with RGS (WSOR) with clear definition of the objectives of the planned well covering trajectories, casing design, specific drilling challenges and associated cost estimates, reduce well complexity, perform torque and drag studies, hydraulics studies, anti-collision screening.
− Wells Trajectory design and optimization to reduce or eliminate collision risk.
− Prepare well programs, organize DWOP with onshore team and pre-spud meeting with rig site teams
− Prepare planning schedules, and required progress time curve for well, follow daily progress and provide detailed programs for non-routine activities liaising with Drilling Superintendent.
− Regular presentation of design decisions and progress to hierarchy, partners and regulators.
− Ensuring drilling performance and daily cost is accurately captured in daily drilling reports and dedicated reporting software.
− Performance follow up and optimization: develop strategies, and engage with contractors, base and rig site team.
− Provide engineering support/advise to the rig on program implementation.
− Regular rig visits: safety meetings / campaigns / audits, quality reviews and operations follow up.
− Completing final well reports with emphasis on ensuring high levels of data quality is reported and that lessons learned are captured in after action reviews and dedicated software.
− Participate in technical studies to improve drilling operations.
− Participate in Call for Tender for drilling service contracts.

3.Additional job roles

− Provide drilling engineering input for the initial screening of opportunities to improve recovery and or increase rate
− In the select phase, work in an integrated team to mature workovers, re-drills and infill wells. This includes drilling or workover feasibility evaluations, equipment availability, advise technology solutions, initial cost estimate of the selected option(s).
− Act as focal point on some Contracts.
− Act as Lead drilling engineering New wells on occasion.
− Lead important engineering studies to optimize drilling operation.
− Mentor other young drilling engineers.

Profile Required:

− Bachelor’s in Engineering Degree, (Master’s preferred)
− 8-10 years Drilling & Well Engineering experience, with minimum 2 years rig site operational experience
