Head Of Project Risk Management
Job Purpose
• Delivers the risk management programme for the NFS Onshore Project. The position will develop, communicate and implement the Risk Management System and coordinate the development and stewardship of Risk Treatement Plans for NFS Onshore Project. The Position provides guidance, coordination and subject matter expertise to project functions to ensure the implementation of the agreed risk management process within the NFS Onshore Project.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
• Understands the key project drivers, defines roles and responsibilities, develops communication protocols, identifies, contribute to the continuous improvement of Risks Management systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, to improve project processes. Plans, Coordinates and facilitates risk identification sessions as appropriate and develops assocated Risk Treatement Plans for Project teams. Interfaces with all required parties to ensure alignment of process and roll-up of risks, relating to EPC Contractor and their sub-contractors.
• The primary objective of risk management is to address threats and opportunities that have the potential to impact project execution objectives by anticipating issues, avoiding negative situations, and explointng those opportunities to improve project performance. Embedded robust risk management practices improve project performance by avoiding surprises, reducing the likelihood of threats and increasing the likelihood of any potential opportunities.
1. Implements and stewards the Risk Management System, procedures and guidelines for NFS Onshore Project and ensures consistency in the application.
2. Works with key project leaders, engineering Heads/Leads, functional Heads/Leads, embedded operations resources, EPC Contractor / sub-contractors / vendor teams and other users or stakeholders to train, communicate and coach in appropriate use of risk procedures and tools
3. Works with Head of Project Controls, Cost Leads and Lead Planners to develop a link between risks, management of change process, estimating and schedule control processes.
4. Educates risk owners on risk management best practices and may be required to work with other risk functions in the development and implementation of risk controls.
5. Identifies key issues, risks and decisions that have created changes or risks that may impact the project (negatively or positively).
6. Develops a risk process to enable risk monthly reporting at the appropriate level with accurate and reliable information to support management decision making.
7. Coaches PMT teams on risk management methodology, and to ensure it is implemented consistently.
8. Ensures that risks are being identified, assessed, and confirm that all existing risks have been correctly identified and entered into the deployed Risk Management System through regular meetings and assement of processes within Project Team.
9. Conducts periodic risk register reviews, and proposes risks for evaluations to the Project Leadership Team (PLT)
10. Ensures that response action plans are developed and entered into the deployed Risk Management System.
11. Facilitates, as relevant, risk workshops and ensure proper interface with contractors on risk related issues.
12. Monitors global trends and developments which may have material impact on the NFS Onshore Project.
13. Keep up to date with risk management trends and techniques.
Knowledge and/or Experience
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a major project environment within the oil and gas industry, with exposure in business and risk management including project controls, cost and schedule development, tender preparation and contract management and 3 years supervising multi discipline and multi-cultural teams and as Head of Risks for mega projects.

Job Description
Welding & Material Specialist
Job Purpose – Provide materials and welding technical expertise and guidance for all aspects of Jackets and Topsides design, procurement, fabrication, installation and testing to ensure that quality facilities are delivered.
– To develop and implement and approve Wleding Procedure Programs (IE WPS/PQR/WPQT) for a large large of Materials.
– To develop and implement Welding/Materials Procedures Plans and work Instructions, records etc.
– Maintain design integrity and quality requirements by monitoring specification compliance and reviewing welding and testing specifications and Witnessing/ Approving Procedure Qualification Programs (WPS/WPQR).
– Provide engineering surveillance on EPCI materials selection and welding work processes and deliverables including audit of vendor/subvendor sources and root cause failure analysis associated with Weld non-compliances, repairs, KPIs and Trends arisinf therefrom.
– Consistently complete EPCI Welding deliverable reviews within contractual time limit. (data sheets, requisition packages, Weld Procedures, SDRs etc) in line with Project requirements.
– Identify and resolve Materials/Welding Design and Construction problems to a satisfactory solution.
– Successfully execute information management requirements throughout project life.
– Apply and capture lessons learned related to materials and welding activities.
– Oversees the Contractor’s development of the required welding / material programs and deliverables within the project budget and schedule.
– Facilitates interfaces among the Contractor’s organization with respect to welding/material issues, planning, reporting, non comformances, Deviations, Lessons Learned etc.
– Provides general technical leadership, advice, and guidance as to Qatargas Welding and Materials practices and expectations. Supervise direct reports within Jackets and Topsides Quality Team.
– Reviews commenst and approves the project specifications prepared by the Contractor(s) Ensure they are in accordance with Company’s Engineering Guides and Design Practices, Codes & Standards.
– Submits recommendations based on Qatargas’s Project Welding/ Materials Specifications operating and maintenance philosophies to Project Management, EPCI, Sub-Contractors.
– Participates and Guidesin Welding Programs, Weld Test Programs, Welder Qualification Programs at Fabrication Yards, witnesses acceptances tests , review records and approves Records and Certification.
