Job Description

The role holder is responsible to lead in enhancing and udpating the Corporate Strategic Planning Model to provide input into the Annual Planning Forum and to produce the Corporate Strategic Plan Report. Lead in enhancing the integrated strategy execution management system, corporate enterprise business planning and enterprise performance management systems. Ensure consistency and traceability of calculations in the Corporate Strategic Plan Report.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration or IT information Technology or Engineering

  • More than 10 years of experience in a similar role of which minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
  • More than 10 years in leading or participating business process automation projects.
  • Experience in Balance Scorecard Approach to Strategic Business Planning and Performance Management
  • Familiarity with business and information systems architecture concepts
  • Experience in planning, and analytics and modelling tools such as IBM Planning Analytics / Cognos Analytics, Tableau and similar tools are highly desired.
  • Conversant with financial analysts and familiar with financial accounting principles
  • Conversant with both business and technical people
  • Experience in performance management tools such as pbViews/Metrics Manager, Corporater and related tools are highly desired
  • Familiar with concepts in Artificial Intelligence, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Machine Learning
  • Strong skills in MS-Office, especially in Excel.
  • Work experience in electricity and/or water utility is high desired.​

Job Description

The role holder is responsible for implementing and promoting the trianing programs for employees in Kahramaa electricity functions together with the Senior Development Counsellor – Electricity and in alignment to the overall policy framework, organizational strategy and business objectives. This role will be responsible to coordinate assessments and training delivery and monitor evaluation.

Core Responsibilities:

Assists in planning and structuring of training activities in order to achieve the overall objectives of Kahramaa electricity functions
Develops a schedule of career development activities to be conducted during the year
Supports in the management of different development programs for specific employee groups
Organizes assessments for selected positions and incumbents and maps their developmental needs
Liaises with department managers, section heads and identified employees to design, seek agreement and monitor completion of developmental plans
Works with Senior Development Counsellor – Electricity to ensure development programs are conducted and effectiveness of these programs is tracked and any changes, if required are implemented
Monitors provision and delivery of learning opportunities for succession planning
Documents all information related to career development and training such as employee profiles, development plans and succession charts etc. for Kahramaa electricity functions employees
Assists in conducting awareness sessions for employees to develop awareness around the career development framework
Acts as the point of contact for resolving all employee queries regarding career development framework, policies and procedures in Kahramaa electricity functions
Undertakes any responsibilities, as directed by the reporting manager in line with organizational objectives
Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification
Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations

Self-Management Responsibilities
Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth

Qualifications:
​Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Postgraduate degree in Business Administration or HR preferred
More than 6 years of experience in Learning and Development in a similar role
