Job Description

Construction Management Inspector

As the Construction Inspector you must have experience in all aspects of building construction, to include electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural. Will monitor, inspect, document and advise on construction projects as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Monitor, inspect, document, and advise on projects as required.
  • Visit’s construction sites daily.
  • Attend the weekly construction meetings with the specific projects to ensure the US government is informed of the most up to date information. Attend project specific meetings on a weekly basis.
  • Prepare and submit reports of project status and progress weekly to the SM and COR.
  • Update project data from all active construction projects in an integrated master schedule at least weekly.
  • Verifies measurements, construction adequacy, and work being completed IAW the plans and specifications.  In addition to the site visits, this discipline shall
  • Read, interpret, and decipher all construction documents (schedules, specifications, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and related documents)
  • Analyze procedures to identify deficiencies, monitor project phasing and ensure adherence to approved safety standards.
  • Observe and inspect ongoing construction work, oversee construction record keeping activities, recommend change orders,
  • Review proposed change orders submitted by construction Contractors, prepare and submit reports, and keep a daily log of all activities, weather conditions and work quantities.
  • Ensure that all construction is performed IAW the applicable statement of work and Government-approved construction documents; review shop drawings and product submittals in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Notify the Government of non-compliance with construction SOW and/or Government-approved construction documents within twenty-four (24) hours of inspection and provide inspection reports detailing the non-compliance.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10 Years of Experience in Construction Field/Inspection
  • Associates Degree in Construction Management, or 15 Years of Experience in Construction Field
  • Must have experience in civil/structural projects
  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) concrete testing certification, preferred (Successful Candidate will be required to have/obtain)
  • Be versed in the International Building Code, NFPA Fire Codes and the NEC in addition to general construction practices

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:

Job Description

AUES – MILCON /Special Projects Liaison

As the MILCON Special Project Liaison, you will be responsible for assisting with the development of project specific details and the preparation and coordination of design work for MILCON projects. Will work with a team of government and contract engineers, surveyors and technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project completion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as the MILCON/Special Projects Liaison with US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other design and operating agencies as required.
  • Work with AFCEC and USACE to identify and analyze problems and develop technical solutions.
  • Work with other AUAB units to analyze problems and develop technical solutions as needed.
  • Attend all meetings and inspections pertaining to assigned projects.
  • Provide summary reports, punch list items and meeting minutes to the Government within two (2) working days after each event.
  • May coordinate and develop information sharing or dissemination efforts needed to establish and maintain project schedules for all MILCON projects.
  • May include occasional presentations to US and host nation military officials

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s in project management.

Job Description

Event & Catering Coordinator – OCONUS – Qatar

As the Event & Catering Coordinator you will work with the Catering Manager to support base wide DV meal requests with catering services required. You will support with event planning, set-up/tear down, serving of food, replenishment of supplies, bussing/clearing of tables and tear down functions at facilities, lounges and other locations as specified by the Government. Work closely with the Protocol office, FSV, and/or COR to ensure the highest quality of service, regardless of the location of the event.  Meet minimum service ware standards established and agreed to by the Catering Manager and the government based on event type and location.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Receives authority from and reports directly to the Catering Manager and is responsible for high-quality food operations including delivery, preparation and serving
  • Available during all scheduled Distinguished Visitors (DV) support and manage Special Meals Program.
  • Required to work closely with the Catering Manager to ensure the highest quality of service, regardless of the location of the event.
  • Responsible for set-up and tear-down of events
  • Familiar with Tri-Service Food Code and or other applicable regulations for Air Force food service operations.

  • Professional experience in Middle East highly desirable (or any other Islamic nation)
