The Regional Credit Controller is responsible for managing a team and oversees accounts receivable owed to the organization. The credit function plays a vital role in the finance department to ensure that invoices are paid on time to assist cash flow of the organization

As a Regional Credit Controller, you will be accountable for a smooth and efficient process that ensures that Hempel receives the money on the due date.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:

Guide the credit control team to ensure that policies and procedures are followed.

Ensuring a close monitoring of overdue receivables are performed in collaboration with commercial finance.

Support GBS that the payments are reflected in the ERP systems correctly to ensure an efficient follow up.

Reviewing credit applications and credit references to set credit limits and ensure credit worthiness.

Assist with month end reporting.

Review and report on Aged Debtors.

Regularly meet and negotiate terms with third party debt collection agencies.

Oversee and review accounts receivable legal cases with Company lawyers.

Manage write-offs, bad debt provisions and setting up of payment plans.

Regularly reviewing the process and procedures to reduce debtor days.

Support in financial and tax audits concerning accounts receivables.

Responsible for assigned Impero controls submission with quality for assigned controls.

Assisting the broader accounts team as required.

The role shall be based in one of the countries where we operate – Bahrain, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar or Oman.

This role will report to Areas Finance Manager.

To succeed in the role the following skills and experience is required:

Previous experience of end-to-end credit control and accounts receivable processes

Working knowledge of Credit law

Staff management experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills especially during difficult customer negotiations

Ability to build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Ability to multi-task

Computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages

English is required (Arabic an advantage)

Job Description

Join our dynamic team and be at the forefront in developing meaningful partnerships with our trade partners!!

In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact between Hempel and its Trade partners, answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products.

Here’s some of the other things you can look forward to:

  • Promote products and services to Traders and negotiate contracts with the aim of maximizing profits.
  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospect traders, recommending solutions.
  • Accountable to deliver the value, volume and gross profit & margin budget for the assigned trade accounts.
  • Identify and appoint new trade shops to expands Hempel’s trade network.
  • Maintain productive relationship with existing trade partners, assist them to achieve their overall sales target through regular visits, timely communication of trade schemes, providing clarity monthly credit /rebate notes, solving trade partners’ queries, introducing new products with the shop team, ensuring timely execution of MH orders.
  • Monitor and ensure Hempel’s entire range of focus SKUs are present in the trade outlet and traders achieve the product mix targets assigned.
  • Implement sales promotional programs for brand building.
  • Provide timely feedback on market practices and competitor offerings, this information is essential for future scheme design from Hempel.
  • Conduct trade audit to assess market potential, estimation of sale of competitors, define Hempel market share.
  • Forecast the material demand for trade network to ensure availability of stock.
  • Coordinate with communication and branding teams to implement local trade schemes and events. (Trade partners meets, loyalty program, training’s).
  • Establish good contact with all relevant departments and officials within the organization.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure prompt and satisfactory handling.
  • Liaise with the branch accountant for proper credit control and establishment of credit limits for customers.
  • Actively use and update CRM and Sales tool (i.e. regularly updating of Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, Tasks/Activities, Account development plans & adopting Persuasive selling model).
  • Shall adhere to company policy, including procedures related to QMS and EMS

The role will be based in Qatar.

We’re looking for a motivated, sales oriented individual.

You should also have the following qualifications:

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, CRM, Teams and Dynamic AX).
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Highly customer oriented.
  • Excellent negotiations skills.
  • Ability to create short term sales results and long-term customer relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated and enthusiastic.
