This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the team in Doha to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction design projects in the Middle East and worldwide. Working closely with colleagues across our multi-disciplinary practice, you will provide specialist consultancy input on projects across a wide range of sectors including Education, Healthcare, Critical Systems and Retail. You will also lead ELV design packages and coordinate closely with stake holders.

Under the guidance of our team of expert engineers this wide ranging role will require you to carry out detailed Electrical Building Services engineering design and analysis, defining and translating clients’ needs into designs for buildings, facilities and services (electrical distribution and power generation, security and access control) all with sustainability at the forefront of the design. Knowledge and experience on MEP electrical and ELV designs is required for the role.

You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, and supported through relevant accredited professional development programmes.

Accredited with a MEng degree level (or equivalent) in Electrical or Building Services Engineering, you have a real interest in sustainable Building Services design and analysis for the built environment, and crucially – have a passion for creative and intuitive design as well as a thirst for personal development and career progression. You have a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, are able to manage your own time to meet deadlines and you have an appreciation of the commercial factors which affect design solutions.

Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.

Requirements:

• MMUP Grade A Electrical Engineer
• Based in Qatar
• Previous Electrical Design Experience with reputable Consultant
• ELV Design and Site Supervision Experience (CCTV, Fire Alarm, Access Control, Audio Visual, PA, IPTV, Structured cabling and others)
• Work experience  with the  local authorities such as KAHRAMAA, Qatar civil defence
• Lead the production of detailed designs and drawings, specifications, data, calculations and report
• Good knowledge of Dialux, Amtech and Revit

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced Grade A Mechanical Engineer to join our Doha office, to play a key role in the design of some of the most exciting built environment projects in the Middle East and internationally.

Working across a variety of sectors such as Education, Healthcare, Residential, and Retail, you will work within a team of specialist engineers and technicians and work closely with colleagues of various disciplines to manage the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects.

You will develop new and nurture existing skills that will maximise satisfaction with our clients and ensure repeat business. The team will support you in doing this as you work your way towards gaining chartership status.

Educated to degree level in mechanical engineer or building services engineering and having gained relevant experience in a mechanical engineering role within a building services consultancy context (ventilation, cooling and air conditioning, heating systems, fire protection etc.), you are already well versed in the use of relevant design software.

You have a solid understanding of the relevant industry codes and good practice, have experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines, and have proven ability in both overseeing and producing creative, sustainable, and intuitive design solutions.

• You also have expereince in Mechanical Design and Site Supervision.
• Given the collaborative and client focused nature of this role, excellent communication skills and programme management skills are essential.
• Qatar UPDA Grade A and experience of working in the Middle East is essential.
