Job Description

The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting applications for the position of Temporary HR Assistant in the Human Resources Department. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Temporary HR Assistant must be able to support the Human Resources Department in its operational activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide support to the Manager, Human Resources, and to the overall Department to facilitate operations and support the effective and efficient functioning of the Department.

The candidate should have strong administrative experience, working within a busy office environment, while maintaining confidentiality at all times. The successful candidate will work on projects assigned by the Manager, Human Resources, will be involved in translating documents, and will support in the preparation of documents and reports as needed.

The successful candidate will also perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Diploma in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field is required

Experience:

Experience in administrative support is required

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English language is required
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language is required

Other Required and Desirable Skills:

A professional and friendly nature with proactive attitude to work is required; good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively is essential. Also, analytical thinking and problem solving is required. Candidates must demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills and fluency in both English and Arabic languages.

Department Profile:

The College of the North Atlantic – Qatar is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Budgeting and Analysis Specialist in the Finance Department. Reporting to the Section Head, Budgeting and Analysis, the Budgeting and Analysis Specialist must be competent with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Finance Department in fully implementing the College’s mission and vision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will provide necessary support in the preparation of CNA-Q’s budget plan. The successful candidate will maintain budget guideline policies and procedures, in addition to implementing them in alignment with the CNA-Q budget objectives. The candidate will review the allocation of expenditure, update the yearly budget, develop financial reports, review CNA-Q financial data, and report risk factors.

The Budgeting and Analysis Specialist will coordinate training workshops, and ensure proper implementation of a standard financial compliance system. He/she must maintain strict confidentiality of financial information and budget records in accordance with CNA-Q’s confidentiality policies.

The position incumbent will be required to serve as the point of contact for internal stakeholders to address concerns and budget related issues. In addition, the Budgeting and Analysis Specialist must maintain a secure filing system, maintain appropriate documentation in PeopleSoft, and attend relevant training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field is required

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Budgeting and Analysis

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English is required

Other Required Skills:

Good organization skills with a high standard of professional integrity. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. The ability to think analytically and solve problems and good attention to detail is required. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation is required. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills. A strong ability to perform financial analysis and budget monitoring. Fluency in English is required.

  • A minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a post-secondary, adult training, or industry training environment,
  • A minimum of 5 years of employment experience as a practitioner/professional within the relevant discipline.

  • Ability to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate authentic learning experiences and assessments incorporating contemporary tools and resources to maximize content learning in context and to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes identified in program outcomes

Qualifications

Assistant Professor

A PhD or an equivalent terminal degree in a field relevant to Health Sciences from a recognized, accredited institution, and post-graduate experience and/or certification in Diabetes Care and Management. A minimum of 5 years teaching experience in a post-secondary, adult training or industry training environment, along with 5 years of employment experience as a Diabetes Care and/or Management practitioner/professional. Additionally, candidates for the Assistant Professor level should have recognition for the following:

  • contribution to the advancement of knowledge through applied research, scholarship, publication, knowledge transfer or professional practice which would be expected to be international in its scope;
  • contribution to the advancement of learning by the leadership of teaching and curriculum development;
  • professional recognition and standing amongst peers;
  • academic subject leadership or academic management
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Education (e.g. Post-secondary Education, Adult Education or Vocational Education)
    • Record of successful participation/leadership in applied research projects
    • Experience in leadership and innovation in technology based project
    • Other Required Skills:
    • Experience mentoring students in a clinical-based program.
