Retail Department Manager (Lifestyle Department) – Doha

We are thrilled to announce a new role for a Lifestyle Department Manager for a retail shop in Doha, Qatar! For this role, you will be responsible for directing and controlling the shop floor activities for the department to ensure that its operations are carried out in the most efficient and effective manner and the highest standards of customer service are achieved. He/she is also responsible for the inventory, maintenance and external appearance of his/her section.
As a Department Manager, you will have to:
- Greet customers and ensure that they are served by shop staff in a timely manner and in compliance with quality and customer service standards
- Ensure proper implementation of company policies and procedures for operational effectiveness
- Control merchandising of products to optimize sales and ensure it is in line with brand image and standards
- Monitor stock levels on a continuous basis, maintain inventories and re-order merchandise when needed to always ensure adequate stocks and maximum range and size availability
- Manage the Department staff by setting goals and objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating employees, in order to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved
- Run daily Department meetings to ensure all Department activities, objectives and events are properly understood and communicated
- Conduct on-the-job training, demonstration and instruction for existing employees, in order to support their development and ensure the highest standards of performance are achieved
- Specific for Multimedia: Plan and prepare team schedule on a weekly basis, and submit it to hierarchy
- Specific for Multimedia: Enforce up-selling and cross-selling within the team to maximize sales volume and ensure set targets are reached
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a managerial role.
- Willing to be based in Doha, Qatar
- Fluency in English
- Ready to work for 6 days a week, on a shifting schedule
- Have managed any of the following departments – stationery, electronics, toys, lifestyle, and fashion
- Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
- Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Our client, an international logistics company, is urgently looking for a Supply Chain Planner who will primarily be responsible for all areas of supply planning and inventory management of HoReCa Sales and 3PL/4PL trading module including service delivery, inventory optimisation, and supply chain analytics and reporting. Your other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Foster and maintain strong working relationships with brands and internal operations so that inventory supply plans and inventory levels are fully understood by all
- To ensure that supply planning is consistent and optimized versus the forecasts/demand planning.
- Right size inventory and optimize supply plans, including safety stocks positioning
- Control excess, destructions and obsolescence inventory
- Deliver monthly fill rate and inventory projections, drawing insights and delivering course correction where needed
- Support process integration with the Demand Planning, Retail Supply Chain and Distribution & Logistics functions
- Monitor and optimise lead times and MOQs with all suppliers working together with Procurement
- To maintain correct planning parameters in order to drive the SAP/APO planning system and optimise our Inventory.
- Track movement of overseas shipments for on-time
- delivery into warehouse and subsequent delivery to customer.
- Reporting on slow-moving and obsolete stocks.
- Deliver continuous improvement in service delivery through robust root cause analysis
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of Supply Planning / Demand Planning in a well-known FMCG in Qatar.
- Possess fundamental Supply Chain knowledge & MRP
- Good IT skills (Ms Office, etc)
- Strong competency in Excel & ERP tools
- Sound decision-making and problem solving skills
- Adapts to change and prioritizes for high-end results

Our client, a multinational, training institute for cybersecurity Information security is currently looking for a Head of Sales and Business Development who will be based in their Qatar office. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for growing the client portfolio of the company’s operation in Qatar. You will also be responsible for developing existing client relationships in addition to identifying and pursuing new client opportunities from prospect to partner and to fully represent and build the company brand in accordance with the company brand values and mission statement.
Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- support the retention of existing business at re-tender times and to pursue leads
- expand existing business.

- Proven track record of delivering against targets within a field sales role.
- Decisive and forward thinking, with strong vision and strategic capability.
