Job Description

This position reports to

Marketing & Sales Service Division Manager

Your responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the service sales manager and/or service manager implement service sales strategy Penetrating IB, promoting various upgrade, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customer and ABB, understanding the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and preparing sales plans, reviewing and proposing recovery plan(s) when needed
  • Updating installed base in ServIS (the approved Service database) with the changes made at site, utilizing ServIS to understand the existing installed base (IB), identifying and developing sales opportunities for service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB/new IBs in the market, focusing on the entire service portfolio to secure profit for assigned Business Units/Product Groups
  • Generating service sales leads and developing new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information, identifying and exploring potential new service portfolios, taking a one ABB approach to leverage other colleagues’ portfolios
  • Establishing long term customer relationships by understanding customer requirements and applicable regulations and demonstrating in-depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote life cycle management (LCM), registering customer feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the sales process
  • Selling entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated area, charting out and monitoring sales proposals, tendering and following up proposal statistics, preparing ABB’s service offerings based on customer need and in coordination with the local service sales manager and/or service manager
  • Communicating contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy, managing administrative sales processes, acting as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings), translating the needs of customer into relevant ABB service offerings and solutions
  • Contributing to risk assessments related to price and quality, registering required information into the appropriate customer database, ensuring technical reliability, safety and cost-effective solutions to satisfy customer’s needs and complying with health and safety directives

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
  • 5 to 8 years of proven relevant experience in the filed
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory

You will be working as Sales Support Specialist and will be part of Motion Business Area for service division based in Doha, Qatar. In this role you will be triggering new sales opportunities to continuously develop healthy sales pipeline targeting the increase of ABB Penetration on own Motion Drives (MODR) Installed Base (IB).

Your responsibilities

  • Being best in class service offering preparation, offering the most recommended and cost-efficient services, ensuring customer loyalty via professional service sales and on-time offering
  • Working closely with customers during budgeting and CAPEX planning phase to differentiate MODR offering, closely coordinating with sales and execution teams and setting winning strategies
  • Ensuring expanding coverage in areas, customers and segments where MODR has no presence, competition analyses to sharpen ABB sales force and enhancing our competitive edge in the market
  • Agreeing on sales approach and pricing strategies with sales manager in line with opportunities mapping to keep MODR well positioned to win
  • Defining, recording and archiving service account plans for assigned accounts including player maps, contacts, risks, opportunities, challenges and future investment plans
  • Matching MODR services portfolio with customer requirements and ensuring optimum services are proposed, preparing accurate and optimized full cost model (FCM’s).
  • Supporting achieving assigned Order (OR) target with targeted Gross Margin (GM%,) following rigorously with zero tolerance ABBs business ethics and guidelines, setting margins and prices according to PG/BL strategy, selling / offering the MODR services full portfolio to assigned customers
  • Leading order handling and execution to achieve connected financial KPIs (Revenue, Cash and profitability) and ensuring customer loyalty via professional customer support and orders execution

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in sales support and sales
  • High communication and presentation skills to be able to establish healthy / effective communication internally within the organization and externally with customers
  • Results orientation and dedication.
  • Business Ownership and Decision Making
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory and Arabic language would be a plus

Job Description

You will be working as Service Engineer, will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Doha Qatar. In this role you will be responsible to execute medium to high complex service jobs & projects with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. Proactively communicate with both customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for penetration and expansion.

Your responsibilities

  • Performing medium to high complex service tasks for 800xA based safety system like installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrade and retrofits, repairing independently, identifying technical prob-lems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.)
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expecta-tion, creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs. Iden-tifying new sales opportunities and taking influence in convincing the client for the complete service portfolio
  • Coordinating, preparing and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities, making standard lists for ease of work. Preparing all docu-ments and reports to be signed by the customer representative and reporting work done in a timely manner and follows up when needed. Creating standards or job durations
  • Proactively identifying potential equipment failures and proactive corrective actions, troubleshooting complex equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
  • Identifying suggestions for product, quality and customer service improvement and discussing them with management for change
  • Consistently applying functional processes considering links to other teams

Your background

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical / Equivalent Engineering
  • Must have minimum 5-6 years of experience of which at least 5 years as customer support / project / service engineer of System 800xA based safety systems preferably in Oil & Gas / Power & Water indus-try.
  • Good hands-on experience in system 800xA based integrated control and safety system (both hard-ware and software) with AC800MHI library-based application development – project & commissioning
  • Knowledge of FSMS (functional safety management system) and valid Functional Safety certifications (TUV FS engineer, ABB certifications etc.)
  • Knowledge of Functional safety technical standards IEC61511, IEC61508 and corresponding system en-gineering practice experience.
  • Hands on Experience in Industrial networking, network switch configuration
  • Hands on experience in Cyber security for 800xA based systems
  • Be an analytical thinker, self-starter, resilient and highly adaptable- in line with ABB’s latest advance service & digital portfolio
  • Hands on Experience in industrial communicatio
